The ONFI NAND Controller Software Driver is developed as the bridge for the Linux MTD subsystem to communicate to the NAND devices. The modular NAND Controller Driver is architected to be easily ported to different operating systems with minimum effort.
The Driver consists of three layers – the Interface layer, Hardware layer, and OS Abstraction Layer.
