Arasan completes its total IP Solution for the UFS 3.0 Standard with immediate availability of its MIPI M-PHY 4.1 IP Core

Arasan Chip Systems, a leading provider of semiconductor IP for mobile and automobile SoCs, today announced the immediate availability of its M-PHY IP compliant to MIPI M-PHY 4.1 specifications while supporting speeds up to 11.6gpbs

May 15, 2019, San Jose, CA: Arasan Chip Systems is proud to announce the immediate availability of its MIPI M-PHY IP, which is capable of supporting Gear 4 speeds up to 11.6gpbs. The M-PHY IP seamlessly integrates with its JEDEC UFS 3.0 Host IP and UFS 3.0 Device IP Controller Cores. A Linux-based UFS 3.0 Software Stack and UFS 3.0 HDK are available to customers who desire accelerated prototyping.
“With the announcement of our M-PHY v4.1 IP, we now offer a proven Total UFS 3.0 IP Solution, which will accelerate adoption of the standard while ensuring compliance,” said Prakash Kamath, CTO at Arasan.

Arasan has been a contributing member to the UFS Association since its inception in 2010. Our UFS IP has been licensed by most major SoC vendors while our UFS HDK is used as the base platform by most UFS compliance and production testers and vendors.
UFS 3.0 is the latest standard from JEDEC and it doubles the speed from UFS 2.1 to 11.6gpbs. UFS is widely used on high end mobile phones, and it now is also used automotive SoCs, where faster memory access speeds are required.

Availability

The M-PHY 4.1 IP is silicon-proven with immediate availability. Arasan can port the M-PHY IP to foundry nodes 28nm and lower based on customer requests.
