CompactFlash (and CF+) is a small form factor card standard that encompasses CompactFlash (CF) flash data storage cards, magnetic disk drives and I/O Cards including, but not limited to serial cards, Ethernet cards, fax/modem cards and wireless pager cards. There are two types of CompactFlash devices: CompactFlash Storage Cards (CF), and CF+ Cards. CF Cards consists only of common memory data storage whereas CF+ is expanded to include the I/O devices or magnetic disk data storage, depending on the specific application. This controller implements the CF+ functionality.
xD Picture Card CONTROLLER
Arasan Chip System’s xD Host Controller IP is a highly integrated solution that is compliant with the xD Picture Host Guideline v1.2 and Card v1.2 specification. The controller handles all of the command, address and data sequences to manage the xD protocol. In addition it performs ECC generation and checking for xD. A host can access and configure this IP using the standard AHB bus interface.
