Arasan Chip Systems Inc. today announced it has relocated its corporate headquarters and expanded its development operation in order to support growing demand. The new offices are located at 2010 N. First Street, Suite 510, San Jose, CA 95131.
Arasan is the premier developer of the Mobile Industry Processor Interface (MIPISM) protocol specification as well as the leader in embedded and external memory and Input/Output (I/O) controllers – SD/SDIO, MMC, CF/CF+, MS/MSPro, xD, SLC/MLC NAND and others key technologies, designed to meet the current demands of the mobile phone and portable consumer market. With the increased demand for these IPs and other connectivity IPs, like USB 2.0/3.0 and PCIe from markets such as Japan and Asia, the expansion provides for the development of next generation products.
"2008 was a challenging but spectacular year with some significant new customers for Arasan.” said Kevin Yee, Vice President of Marketing. “We are very excited to be moving into our new home in San Jose. The newer and larger facility will allow us to continue to grow in 2009 while maintaining the high level of service and personal touch our customers are accustomed to receiving.”
Arasan is a privately held corporation with development and sales offices throughout the USA, Asia and Europe. The new headquarters will house the company’s rapidly growing staff of engineers, a state of the art development lab, support staff and executive management team. Arasan expanded its staff in 2008 to support the growing business opportunities. Growth is expected to continue through 2009.
